Huawei is bursting loose BIG TIME in a couple of weeks when it unveils the latest refresh of its Mate series flagships – the Mate 9 and Mate 9 Pro
With launch date fixed for November 3rd, 2016, the Mate 9 & Mate 9 Pro are bound to turn heads and get you wishing. Specs leaked over the past week courtesy Evan Blass and a couple of other reliable sources indicate that Huawei has indeed upped the ante this time around.
The Mate 9 is rumoured to feature a 5.9in IPS LCD 1080x1920p screen @373ppi, 2.6GHz Octacore HiSilicon Kirin 960 CPU under the hood. Also expected is 4/6GB RAM variants and 64/128/256GB ROM variants expandable via microSD to 256GB.
Adorning the rear end of the Mate 9 are two 20MP Leica cameras with dual LED flash and a fingerprint scanner too. Android’s latest OS 7.0 is also expected to debut with a likely 4,500mAh non removable battery keeping the lights on.
Also expected to launch on the 3rd of November is the Mate 9 Pro. A dual curved edge variant that’s sleek, stylish, flashy and indeed Awesome.
Sporting pretty much the same features as the Mate 9, the 9 Pro takes its screen resolution a notch higher with a QuadHD setup. Codenamed “Long Island”, the Mate 9 Pro is said to be a VR haven upon launch with ready support for Google’s VR headset – Daydream.
