OK how many of you started using phones 10years ago?.. let’s see a show of hands:
I thought so. Lol.. But let’s see how deep the rabbit hole goes. Can you remember the phoned y’all used exactly? Where they the trending phones of that time?
That was #Bliss then actually. Fast forward to this year; 2016, and you pretty much would agree that times have changed our tastes and demands regarding camera performance, CPU speed and OS dexterity. The explosion in choices of smartphones and smarter smartphones today, fuels our quest to own and use the Best and Leading brands as Top Priority (well, for a great number of us… lol).
OK Pause!… Let’s take this mindset back 10 Years ago and see the leading smartphone options we would have had to choose from then:
■ Motorola Moto RAZR V3 (Matte Black)
The sleek Moto RAZR V3 was like the iPhone of the time, with its awesome flip action and svelte build. Remember it’s signature “Hello Moto” ringtone?
It’s 2MP main camera was probably the Best in the industry then, not to talk of its use of mp3 music files as ringtones.
■ Nokia N70
Probably the ancestral father to what BlackBerry initially started off as, the N70 was sort after because of its sturdy look, business inclined OS setup (Symbian by the way) and overall functionality.
■ BlackBerry 7100
Back then was the peak of BlackBerry’s best years and the 7100 handset consolidated it. It’s email feature really rocked too.
■ Nokia 8800
Probably Nokia’s response to the trending flip phones from Motorola and others, this stainless steel baby was a hit with its rich colour display and fashionable imprint.
■ Motorola Q8
The Q8 by Motorola back then was its Most Advanced PDA/Communicator with a QWERTY keyboard. Running on mobile 6.0 version of Windows Mobile OS, it screamed “Business” back then.
■ Nokia 1100
Still the Best Selling phone till date with over 250Million units sold globally, the Nokia 1100 was a toast of so many who fancied just simple phone features.
Which did you use guys?… Let’s hear it..
