Shhhhh!!!!!! Wait…!!! Listen!…
Canadian OEM, BlackBerry is set to stir up things a bit in the smartphone market with the launch of the BlackBerry DTEK60. Codenamed “Argon”, the new refresh of the DTEK series is expected to launch very soon.
Evan Blass, popular leakster tweeted a live photo (as shown below) of the coming DTEK60 in what looks like a promotional render. Asides sporting almost an identical semblance with its predecessor – the DTEK50, it seems to sport a dual curved edge screen.
It would interest you to know that this new BlackBerry DTEK phone is also a product of a joint collaboration between BlackBerry and TCL (makers of the Alcatel brand of phones)
BlackBerry hasn’t hidden this away from the World as it made its specs known a couple of weeks ago. The DTEK60 is pure premium stuff as it features:
•5.5in AMOLED 1440x2560p QuadHD screen
•Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 CPU
•4GB RAM, 32GB ROM expandable via microSD to 2TB
•21MP camera with autofocus, OIS and dual LED flash, 8MP selfie shooter
•Android OS 6.0
•3000mAh non-removable battery with fast charging support.
The DTEK60 has already gotten WiFi and other verification tests in prelude to its eventual launch soon. We expect to have detailed info regarding pricing then.
What do you guys think? Is BlackBerry really on a comeback this year?
