Quite a looker right? Well, yea.. but in the present terrain of smartphone competition , it’s gonna take more than just looks to come out tops. Moreso when sales of a preceding flagship have failed to impress. Sadly, that paints the story of LG in recent times
Earlier this year, LG unveiled the G5 and it indeed was HOT in the news due to its innovative modular design, which sees you fit add-ons like additional battery packs, camera enhancements, etc to its base for mproved experience levels.
This concept had long been teased by Google under its “Project Ara” concept (which unfortunately has been called off). Despite the Award-winning innovation in design, the G5 failed to redeem LG’s image in terms of sales and profit figures.
But hey, when there’s a will, there’s a way right?! True! And LG won’t be deterred in establishing yet another flagship competitor smartphone in the LG V20:
The V20, which was announced recently, is indeed an all round improvement from the V10 , sporting a lighter and slimmer build. Other areas of improvement include the dual camera setup present on the V20 that debuted on the G5, as well as the slightly bigger battery. Here are it’s specs in full:
•5.7in QuadHD IPS LCD 1440x2560p screen @515ppi ; with a 2.1in secondary 160x1040p display upfront.
•2.15GHz Quadcore Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 CPU
•4GB RAM, 32 / 64GB ROM expandable via microSD to 256GB
•Dual 16MP & 8MP main cameras with OIS, dual LED flash & autofocus; 5MP selfie shooter
•Android OS 7.0
•Single Nano SIM
The V20 is expected to hit international markets later this month at a price range of between $600-750.
