Huawei’s Mate series have proven to be no push-overs in the smartphone market and the company has been focused on bettering the experience every year.
With the Mate 8 still getting impressive reviews all over the World, the Chinese OEM is getting its successor ready for battle later this year. Some specs of the Mate 9 seem to have leaked online and they indicate that indeed, a Beast is coming.
When we say “Beast” in this respect, we mean it in every sense as well the Mate 9 is said to have a screen size of 5.9inches, rumoured to be an IPS LCD 1080x1920p screen @373ppi. A 2.6GHz octacore HiSilicon Kirin 955/960 CPU might likely handle tasks, accompanied by a 4/6GB RAM and 64/128GB ROM with support for expansion to 256GB via a microSD slot.
Also rumoured is its new 12MP camera with support for autofocus, dual LED flash, with an 8MP selfie shooter upfront. Though some other sources believe a dual 20MP camera would make the cut instead. Other features rumoured are a USB Type-C port, fingerprint scanner, Android OS 6.0 and a non-removable 4000mAh battery that would support a new fast charging technology called “SuperCharge”. This would see the Mate 9 charge from 0-50% in just a few minutes; thus supporting quick top-up charging than longer plug-in periods of charging.
More Specs expected soon.
