Xiaomi’s CEO, Lei Jun, in his remarks at the launch, stated that the Mi NoteBook Air offered something a bit more than other premium and well known ultraportable laptops – a discrete graphics card by NVIDIA (the NVIDIA GeForce GTX940MX) . This alone sees the Mi NoteBook Air outperform many laptops in its class in game speed processing.
The Mi Notebook Air features:
•12.5/13.3in IPS LCD 1080x1920p FullHD screen all wrapped up in brushed aluminium cladding.
•12.9mm/14.8mm thick (compared to 17mm thickness of the Apple MacBook Air)
•Weighs 1.07kg/1.28kg (compared to the MacBook’s 1.35kg)
•6th Generation Intel Core i5 CPU
•NVIDIA GeForce GTX940MX GPU
•1GB Video RAM, 4/8GB RAM, 128/256GB SSD with an additional slot for expansion up to 256GB.
•Windows 10 OS
•USB Type-C port, 2 USB 3.0 ports, HDMI port, 3.5mm headphone jack
•11.5/9.5hr battery life
The Mi Notebook Air would come in two colour variants – Gold and Silver and would be priced at $600 & $750 for the 12.5in & 13.3in models. Sadly, they would only retail in China for now.
