Remember the BlackBerry Hub? It was one of the knockout features of the BB10 OS which centralised your view of all your mails, social feed notifications, text messages, missed call notifications, etc.
Great news coming from the Canadian OEM indicate that it’s about to make the BlackBerry HUB available to other Android smartphones running on the Android Marshmallow OS. Before now, only it’s Android phones were eligible to use the Hub. This would be BlackBerry’s second major app that it’s making available to another OS platform after BBM. This move would see the OEM increase its revenue base as it makes its move towards a complete turnaround.
The HUB was well accepted and indeed commended for giving users the opportunity to not just get to see all their mails, messages and social media platform notifications in one place, but the ability to respond to them directly from there without having to access the respective apps.
