It’s “official” yo!… Well, going by a somewhat authentic Chinese website – Weibo, the name of Samsung’s next phablet refresh model due out August 2nd would indeed be the “Galaxy Note 7” as purported by the leaked logo above.
The website also goes ahead to give a leaked specifications listing of the Note 7, which pretty much confirms a 5.7in QuadHD 1440x2560p Super AMOLED screen instead of 5.8inches, two processor variants – 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 CPU (which hasn’t been officially unveiled) or a 2.7GHz Samsung Exynos 8893 CPU.
Also confirmed is the much teased 6GB RAM, 64/128/256GB ROM variants, a new and revamped S-Pen, USB Type C port and 4000mAh battery. The Note 7 would feature the same 12MP OIS camera, 5MP selfie, water and dust resistant and a new “Grace UX” (which is said to be the most advanced & flattest version of TouchWiz interface ever released)
Enthuthiasts already tip the Note 7 as a strong contender for the Phone of the Year award.
